The “Silent Radiance of Unity – Macao in Harmony” exhibition will be presented by six religious communities in Macau, being slated to kick off on November 5 and run through December 5 at Kun Iam Temple.

Details of the upcoming exhibition were given in a press conference at the venue yesterday afternoon, which was attended by representatives of each religious community.

The religions jointly presenting the exhibition comprise Buddhism, Catholicism, Taoism, Protestantism, the Bahá’í Faith, and Islam. It will be co-organised with the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).

In addition to presenting related exhibits, there will also be “deep communication and collaboration” with local artists, the youth and intangible cultural inheritors. There will also be art discussion sessions and workshops held during the weekend throughout its run.

Once open, members of the public can visit the free-admission exhibition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily throughout its 30-day run.

A statement provided at yesterday’s press conference highlighted that the six religions in the city, each coming from different cultural backgrounds, have developed harmoniously together, cooperating and assisting one another.  Moreover, the exhibition also aims to “initiate a dialogue that goes beyond language, race, and colour through visual experience”, a separate statement noted.
